Why own a 15K or a 16K or an 18K when you can them all consolidated into one unit? For years the trailers have been getting larger so the hitch manufacturers keep increasing the towing capabilities by changing designs. With the 3-in-1 you can go from a 15K to an 18K by simply adding air to the air springs. Then if need be you can go down to a 16K or 15K by simply reducing the air pressure in the air springs. With the patent pending 3-in-1 AIRBOX™™ you adjust the PSI in the bags until the shock is level with the “Ride Height Label” attached to the front of the AIRBOX™ giving you the smoothest and safest ride available. Here is an example: you are about to pull a trailer with a 2000lb pin weight and 14,000 GVWR. Simply put add or subtract air in the airbags to accommodate the lower pin weight until it is at the clearly indicated height. Then let’s say you want to hook onto a larger trailer with a pin weight of 3000lbs and a GVWR of 18,000lbs. You simply add more air to the airbags and your 15K is now an 18K.

There is simply no need to purchase several 5th wheels to accommodate several trailers with different pin weights and GVWR.

Here’s how it works. This is clearly shown in our video , lower the pin onto the AIRBOX™, properly secure, and simply adjust air levels to the clearly marked height. About 60 psi is all they will need so once again you can use a portable air pump or air at a service station.

By placing the two industrial strength air bags directly below the head it allows us to make a compact air hitch with a pin weight of 4000 lbs. One of the most unique features of the AIRBOX™ is both air bags are connected together allowing air from one bag to flow to the next.

In slow motion you can see exactly what is happening. The first movement is from the vehicle hitting the tracks . This jolt is from the trailer hitting the tracks and driving the king pin down into the bed of the pick-up causing the front of the vehicle to hurl upward. Imagine the loss of steering control caused by the rigid connection.
If the trailer had an airbag in the king pin, it would help, but this type of jolt can not be properly handled by a single airbag so the trailer would cause a dolphin affect and continue bouncing long after the initial shock. Since bumps and potholes are not straight up and down and since not all the wheels are hitting the same obstacles at the same time, shock and G-Force is thrown in all directions. Now break the shock transfer and the two vehicles track independently virtually eliminating these adverse forces.

32K AIRSAFE™ Commercial Grade 5th wheel: 6,000 lb pin weight, 32,000 lb GVTW

We also offer the AIRSAFE™ 32K low profile commercial grade 5th wheel which is ideal for medium duty trucks and Class 8 conversions. The 32K AIRSAFE hitch features a 6000lb pin weight and 32,000 GVWR. We use a commercial grade Binkley full locking 1 ¼” locking jaws and a patented swivel Hyme joint for increased side to side motion and energy absorption. We feature a full 5/8” steel base plate to insure a commercial grade product.
